USI invites applications for one position in the Management stream of the Ph.D. program in
The successful candidate will work as a teaching and research assistant at the Institute of
Management and Organization. Professor Filippo Carlo Wezel will be the supervisor.
The ideal candidate will have a Master degree in Management, or Sociology, or Political Sci-
ence, and an interest in large-scale textual analysis and in the study of the social mecha-
nisms underlying the behavior of organizations, in particular the competitive behavior of
political parties. A keen interest in, and experience of, quantitative empirical research is re-
quired. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Stata, R, Python) will considered

career. To satisfy the minimum criteria for consideration, applicants must have completed a
Master degree in management, economics, sociology, psychology, or closely related fields
prior to joining the program. The official language of the Ph.D. program is English. Admission
to the Ph.D. program is highly competitive. Admission decisions are based on the candi-
dates' background, interests, attitude and potential for academic achievement. Enrollment in
the PhD is not compatible with other professional activities.
